Star Alliance launches online circle fare and airpass calculator
Customers making travel arrangements using the various Star Alliance fare products can now make use of a new online tool which simplifies the planning process.
The Circle Fare and Airpass Calculator, available on the Star Alliance website at www.staralliance.com/fareproductcalculators allows customers to plan their preferred routings at their convenience, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Once a valid itinerary for the desired trip has been created, it can then be transmitted to one of the member carriers for ticketing or printed and taken to a travel agent.
“At Star Alliance we offer customers a wide choice of fare options for journeys across our leading airline network of 19 member airlines.” “Working out an ideal routing from such a large number of destinations, countries and flights, has admittedly been quite complex in the past.” “We are very pleased that we can now offer our customers a new online tool with which they can plan their personal itineraries in an easy and simple manner”, said Horst Findeisen, Vice President Business Development at Star Alliance.
The Circle Fare and Airpass Calculator enables customers to build itineraries using any of the following Star Alliance Fare Products:
Circle Asia Fare
Circle Pacific Fare
African Airpass
Asian Airpass
European Airpass
Japan Airpass
North American Airpass
South Pacific Airpass
Thailand Airpass
Further details on these fare products can be found at www.staralliance.com
Star Alliance first introduced a fare tool online – the Round the World Mileage Calculator – in 2004, which allows customers to plan their global routings in the comfort of their own home.
With the addition of the Circle Fare and Airpass Calculator, all Star Alliance fare products available to the general public are now supported with an online planning tool.
