Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. has announced the opening of The Westin Snowmass Resort following  a multi-million dollar renovation to reposition the property as a Westin-branded resort.

Formerly known as the Silvertree Hotel & Conference Center, the resort has refurbished all its guest and public areas and installed iconic Westin amenities like the Heavenly Bed and other branded design elements.

The Westin Snowmass Resort is ski-centric: 254 rooms including 18 suites, all have slope-side views. The resort’s restaurant -The Snowmass Kitchen – offers ski-in/ski-out access.

The newly landscaped outdoor space is being positioned for outdoor events and the 20,000
square-foot conference center was fully renovated and re-opened on June 1, 2012.

Snowmass is within walking distance to the shops and restaurants of Snowmass Village and is also close  to three other ski areas – Aspen, Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk.
