Stena Line appoints new md
Stena Line has appointed Gunnar Blomdahl managing director and chief operating officer.
Mr Blomdahl succeeds Bo Severed, who resigned due to health reasons, but will stay on as deputy chairman of the Board.
Mr Blomdahl, 47, has held a number of senior management positions at Stena Line since 1997, and
most recently was the area director in charge of Stena Line’s Irish Sea operations.
Mr Blomdahl said: “Stena Line has really turned itself around over the past few years and together with all the other management and staff, I look forward to continuing to build on this success. We are working towards making Stena Line profitable this year and achieving long-term profitability”.
