The funeral of industry veteran Steve Price will take place on Tuesday, August 4th at 2.30pm, at St Mary and St Joseph Catholic Church in Pocklington, Yorkshire.
Following the service, a reception will be held at the St Vincent Arms in Sutton upon Derwent, near York.
Price’s widow, Margaret, has advised that all are welcome, but to please email her at [email protected] if they are planning to attend, so that the appropriate catering can be organised at the St Vincent Arms. Flowers will not be required, but instead donations should be made to the British Heart Foundation.
Price died earlier this month, aged 59, after a short illness. A well-known and much-liked personality in the travel industry, Price was formerly managing director of Rainbow Holidays, before setting up his own consultancy, SMP Consulting, and working for AU Logistics.
He was also involved in many industry bodies, including the Tourism Society and the Yorkshire Tourist Board.
In addition to Margaret, Steve leaves two daughters, Rachel and Stephanie.
