Top Gear Festival Sydney has secured Superbike champion Casey Stoner who, for the first time since his retirement, will return to a bike – a Honda CBR1000, on track at Sydney Motorsport Park to race against Red Bull Racing Team F1 superstar Mark Webber and reigning V8 Supercar champion Jamie Whincup in the Red Bull Racing Australia V8.

The Aussie Speed Showdown will see the three speedsters race around the world class Sydney.com North Circuit at Sydney Motorsport Park, at full throttle in a battle for the ultimate bragging rights.

Stoner will also be taking on Lowndes in a unique Top Gear challenge: ‘Fish out of Water’ where Stoner will be behind the wheel of Lowndes’ Red Bull Racing Australia V8 and Lowndes will be on a Suzuki GSX-R1000 Superbike.

The first ever Top Gear Festival Sydney at Sydney Motorsport Park, Eastern Creek will be held over the weekend of March 9-10.

Top Gear Festival Sydney is hosted by Jeremy Clarkson, James May, The Stig and Australian co-host Shane Jacobson,
