Strikes hit European flights
Passengers travelling to and from France are being warend of “extensive delays” today as air traffic controllers join a nationwide strike.
The strike by public sector workers began yesterday and is due to run until tomorrow (Friday).
Eurocontrol said delays would be particularly bad in the south and west of the country.
EasyJet said it would announce any cancellations on its website and advised customers to use its new flight tracker tool to check the status of their flight.
Meanwhile, flights to and from Italy are due to be impacted by a 24-hour cabin crew strike by a non-recognised union on Saturday (May 16).
EasyJet said it expects there to be no impact on its flights throughout the day but advised passengers to check the status of their flight.
