Struggling Go First to undergo audit before resuming flights
India regulator the Directorate General of Civil Aviation will conduct a full audit of Go First before it is approved to restart flying.
The cash-strapped airline grounded all flights in early May as it entered bankruptcy protection.
The DGCA will assess a preparedness plan from the airline to resume flights.
“DGCA will be conducting an audit to check our preparedness in the coming days. Once approved by the regulator, we would be soon commencing operations,” the airline said in an internal staff memo.
The regulator will look at whether Go First can operate in a safe, efficient and reliable manner, under existing aviation rules.
The airline has cancelled all its flights until at least May 26.
