One hundred students and their chaperones were kicked off a flight for refusing to turn off their mobile phones during take-off.
The school party were removed from an AirTran flight from Atlanta in Georgia to New York on Monday, said the Daily Mail.
Some claimed the airline overreacted and one claimed the students were targeting for being Jewish, said the newspaper.
SouthWest Airlines, owner of AirTran, confirmed to MailOnline that 137 passengers were on board the flight and 108 of them were asked to leave.
It said some students refused to sit down, others refused to turn off their phones, despite repeated requests from the crew. They were ejected from the flight and transferred to another departure
