Suite dreams are made of this
We’ve all heard of the Horse Whisperer but for those fortunate enough to be flying in Virgin Atlantic’s new Upper Class Dream Suite, the Cabin Whisperer is about to speak. In hushed tones, of course.
Virgin Atlantic’s Richard Fitzgerald has taken on the role of Virgin Atlantic’s Whispering Coach to train the crew for the imminent launch of the new suite.
Fitzgerald will offer coaching on the tone, volume and sentiment cabin crew should use whilst talking to Upper Class passengers.
Trialled with several focus groups and test-flights, and formulated with input from speech experts, the appropriate level of volume has been identified and the crew are now trained to whisper at tones between 20 and 30 decibels due to its calming effect and the fact that it won’t disturb other passengers whilst lights are out.
Along with the ‘Whispering Coach’ Virgin’s Upper Class Suite includes newly designed seats, ambient lighting and upgraded glassware and crockery.
