Sun Country Airlines launching seasonal flights to Hawaii and Myrtle Beach
The soon-to-be acquired Sun Country Airlines has announced seasonal flights to two new vacation hotspots.
Operating from May 19 through August 19, 2018, Sun Country will fly from Minneapolis/St. Paul to Hawaii via Los Angeles four times a week.
"The addition of Honolulu to the family of Sun Country destinations gives our travelers the opportunity to experience the unique culture and history of Hawaii," says Jude Bricker, Sun Country Airlines’ president and CEO.
The carrier begins nonstop Myrtle Beach flights from MSP from April 6 through June 4, 2018.
The service will operate twice a week, on Monday and Friday.
"We look forward to giving our customers an opportunity to visit Myrtle Beach and experience its endless beaches and countless attractions," Bricker added.
The company’s travel business Sun Country Vacations will offer flight and hotel vacation packages for both destinations.
Privately held Minnesota based Sun Country Airlines recently announced it agreed a deal to sell the business to private equity firm Apollo Global Management, LLC.
The airline is also in the process of transitioning to a low cost carrier.
