Sun goes down on misbehaving passengers
PERTH – The West Australian newspaper this week carried the tale of eight passengers onboard the Sun Princess being made to “walk the plank†for bad behaviour during the 21-day cruise to Southeast Asia which ended in Fremantle last Sunday.
The ship’s captain, Martin Stenzel, runs “a tighter-than -tight†ship, according to the newspaper.
“He ordered one couple off the ship for bonking in the promenade pool and another two couples for fighting in the laundry over the use of a clothes dryer.
“Another family of four had to find their own way home from somewhere in the South China Sea after the parents refused to pay for the damage to two overpriced paintings meant for an on-board auction, which had been scratched by their two teenage sons.â€
According to the West Australian’s source, the “walk the plank” ceremony is common on Sun Princess’ zero tolerance cruises.
