Surge in Agent Interest in revised Tiare Program
Tahiti Tourisme expects the numbers of accredited Australian travel agents in its specialist Tiare training program to double following the program’s revamp and launch of online learning modules.
Agents wanting to become a Tahiti Tiare specialist can now do so merely by logging into www.tahitinow.com.au and following the prompts to set up their own training program and accreditation process.
Tahiti Tourisme Regional Director Jonica Paramor said more than a hundred travel agents had enrolled since the Tiare program went online in May, bringing the total number of enrolled agents to 400.
“By the end of the year we expect more than 80 agents to have completed the on-line training process and requirements to become fully-accredited Tiare agents”.
”This is a very encouraging response, but clearly reflects Tahiti’s popularity following improved air services between Australia and Tahiti and six straight months of growth. Latest available figures – for June – show arrivals to be up by 70% from Australia over the same time last year.”
Tiare accreditation provides agents with a range of benefits including qualified sales leads from Tahiti Tourisme’s website, preferential listing on the website, marketing support, promotional material, discounted travel rates and priority inclusion in famils hosted by Tahiti Tourisme.
Using the new on-line training program, agents can quickly discover essential information not only about the geography and culture of the 118 islands and atolls that make up French Polynesia but gain a helpful insight into the accommodation, transport and other key components making up the destination’s booming tourism industry.
Ms Paramor said agents could begin training to achieve full accreditation as soon as they enrolled and began selling Tahiti holidays, adding “The new online program makes membership easier than ever and I urge agents wanting to cash in on the enormous demand for Tahiti to visit our site and see how easy it is to become a Tiare specialist”.
