Sydney Kings score with the LA connection
The Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board (LATCB), one of Sydney Kings’ new sponsors, will be giving fans of the team the opportunity to win prizes during the forthcoming basketball season of the iiNet NBL Championship.
The LATCB, in conjunction with United Airlines, will offer prizes, including flights, accommodation, and access to many of the attractions that LA has to offer.
Newly appointed Sydney Kings general manager, Rod Harys, said, "The Sydney Kings have very close ties to Los Angeles. Our playing colours are the same as the LA Lakers and our game night presentation is close to how basketball is presented at their stadium."
Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board director for Australia and New Zealand, Craig J. Gibbons, said, "Angelinos really enjoy their basketball and they are huge supporters of the LA Lakers.
"Attending the Sydney Kings home games at the Crown Kingdome is like being at a LA Lakers game at the Staples Centre."
Access to special offers, with both United Airlines and the LATCB, are available via www.unitedvacations.com.au
Alternatively, there are links on the Sydney Kings website sydneykings.com, which will access both the competition and special offers.
