Wednesday, 20 Aug, 2008 0

All eyes are currently on Beijing for the 2008 Olympic Games, but the focus will soon return to Sydney , when our own Olympic precinct launches it newest high-profile venue, Pullman at Sydney Olympic Park, Sydney ’s first 5-star hotel since the 2000 Games.

Pullman at Sydney Olympic Park will open on 1 September, just weeks after the close of the Beiijing Games and will re-ignite interest in the world-class precinct that staged “the best Games ever” according to then-IOC boss Juan Antonio Samaranch.  Since then, Sydney Olympic Park has become a dynamic entertainment, conference and sporting precinct, staging a continuous program of musical concerts, major exhibitions, NRL and AFL games, sporting competitions and more and boasting some of the best sporting venues in the world, which can be enjoyed by all Australians.

Pullman at Sydney Olympic Park is offering a special launch rate of just $235 per room per night including full buffet breakfast for two. The five-star hotel – with interior design by Joseph Pang – boasts a stylish wine bar and restaurant, spectacular views all the way to the city from many rooms, an executive lounge and executive floors and gym and is at the epicentre of the constantly evolving Sydney Olympic Park precinct, with picturesque parklands and wetlands, great shopping, first-class sporting facilities and regular markets on the doorstep.

There are a host of entertainment options available within the park including cultural and historic tours, behind-the-scenes tours at some of the world-class sporting venues, trapeze lessons, jogging and walking tracks, beautiful parklands in which to picnic, nature tours and much more.

Pullman is Accor’s newest five-star brand and this is the first Pullman hotel in Australia . By the start of 2009, there will be 59 Pullman hotels in 23 countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America . The brand will be one of the fastest-growing brands in the world, with a target of 300 hotels globally by 2015.

This opening rate is available until 30 December 2008, subject to availability and is not valid during special event periods.
