SYNERGI name to go after acquisition
The Travel Company has acquired SYNERGI, the network of business travel organisations with representation in 45 countries.
The SYNERGI brand is to be “completely abandoned” by The Travel Company in favour of the new name TTC Global Network.
The purchase follows Dutch-owned BCD Holdings N.V. taking an ownership stake in UK-based The Travel Company and signing an agreement to acquire TUI’s business travel entities.
The Travel Company has been a partner and shareholder in SYNERGI since 2001. The travel management company said in a statement that it remained committed to existing clients and will continue to provide the same superior quality and seamless service.
Managing director Mike Walley said: “Our goal has always been to listen to our clients. They are telling us that central ownership is a fundamental requirement in the provision of the multi-national business travel solution.
“This network acquisition creates the ability to control operations and service levels consistently around the globe.”
SYNERGI president Greg O’Neil added: “Over the past 10 years, I’ve seen consolidations continue to affect every major global TMC and network, and our network is no exception.
“Consolidation is a way of life. We have managed these scenarios with our partners in the past and still maintain a unique position in the industry, attracting multi-national clients through innovative solutions”.
