Taiwan opens to Hong Kong and Macau tour groups
Taiwan this week opens to tourists from Hong Kong and Macau, as long as they are part of a group.
Groups must be between five and 40 people and registered via certain travel agencies recognised by Taiwan.
The groups can stay in Taiwan for up to 15 days.
Taiwan has reopened to tourism but hadn’t allowed Hong Kong and Macau travellers until now, or Mainland China.
Taiwan’s Mainland Affairs Council said it hopes to gradually ease restrictions over time for HK and Macau travellers.
