Take a Seaplane from Phuket and reduce travel times or island resorts significantly
Destination Air Shuttle will inaugurate a scheduled seaplane service from Phuket International Airport to the popular holiday destinations of Phi Phi Island, Krabi and Koh Lanta on February 1.
Initially there will be 12 flights a day to these three destinations with services to be extended to the Similan and Racha Islands as well as the resort island of Khao Lak.
The new flights of Destination Air Shuttle are expected to be well patronised as it will dramatically cut travel time between Phuket and some of Thailand’s major resort destinations.
For instance, it currently takes about a half day to travel from Phuket International Airport to Phi Phi, but using Destination Air Shuttle the travel time is less than 13 minutes!
Flight times from Phuket to Krabi will be 20 minutes and 30 minutes to Koh Lanta.
Transfer time is also saved because seaplane flights land at beachfront resorts.
Destination Air Shuttle which is said to have invested around $4 million in start-up costs operates a fleet of Cessna 206 and 208 aircraft.
