Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Sydney Office is staging an Amazing Thailand Roadshow in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in May.

TAT will also take part in the annual Bridal Expo in Sydney from May 17-18 as part of its plans to promote the kingdom as a venue for both weddings and honeymoons.

Additionally, TAT Sydney Office is planning a travel trade function in Christchurch to update the market on new luxury travel products in Thailand.

Promotional activities during the event will showcase different aspects of the tourism market, including golf tours, honeymoon packages and medical tourism.

Thawatchai Arunyik, TAT Governor, said: "We hope our activities Down Under will help to encourage high-end travellers from Australia and New Zealand to enjoy a more niche break in line with their interests."

Research carried out by the TAT Sydney Office indicates that Phuket, Ko Samui and Khao Lak (Phang Nga province) – all in southern Thailand, remain the most popular destinations for visitors from Australia and New Zealand.
