Teletext expands ‘premium media’ advertising to four destinations
Teletext Holidays is rolling out its ‘premium media’ advertising opportunities across its Greece, Turkey, Canaries and Red Sea TV sections.
This follows the announcement at the end of last year that Teletext was restricting the number of advertisers allowed on key sections of its TV pages.
Teletext said the move was implemented in order to offer more effective advertising opportunities for fewer clients and limit the number of holiday offer duplications across the service.
Advertisers wishing to tender for inclusion in any of the sections have been asked to submit their interest this week.
Only seven advertisers will be allowed on Teletext’s Red Sea and Canaries sections, with five allowed to advertise on both Greece and Turkey.
Victoria Sanders, sales director Teletext Holidays, said: “Our decision to drastically reduce advertiser numbers on key sections has proved extremely successful. Our all-inclusive section, which was the first to undergo the changes, has benefited greatly from the move.
“We have seen high call volumes for the all-inclusive section, with calls up significantly on this time last year. Due to its success we now feel the time is right to expand it to our Greece, Turkey, Canaries and Red Sea sections.â€
