Tempo continues successful marriage of travel with regional food and wine
Tempo Holidays, continuing its successful marriage of travel with regional food and wine, has launched a new package for the northern Italy region of Emilia Romagna.
Emilia Romagna is renowned for its Lambrusco wine, Parmesan cheese and aceto balsamico tradizionale (traditional balsamic vinegar).
Tempo’s three-day Gastronomic Secrets of Emilia is a self-drive package priced from $709 per person twin share, with car hire from an additional $60 per day.
The three-day package includes two nights accommodation at the four-star Hotel Delle Arti in Cremona, (located 85kms from Milan) two breakfasts and one lunch. Travellers will also learn the secrets of Italian cooking with renowned chef Massimo Spigaroli, visit a traditional Parmesan cheese producer and take an excursion to a culatello artisan to taste the mature flavours of this cured meat.
In keeping with learning about regional specialties, they will also visit a violin maker workshop as part of the package.
The package departs daily except on Friday and Saturday and runs June to December, except for August.
