Tempo hits a winner at Wimbledon

Tempo Holidays has debuted packages for The Wimbledon Championships and English Premier League soccer.

Two and four day Wimbledon Championships packages – including packages for semi finals and finals, offer reserved seats, Championship souvenir packs, entrance to Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum, accommodation and breakfasts. =

For all soccer/football fanatics, Tempo Holidays can ensure Premier League tickets are reserved before departing the country.

Travellers have the choice of attending home matches of Arsenal, Aston Villa, Charlton, Chelsea, Everton, Fulham, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle, West Ham United and Tottenham.

General Manager Sales and Marketing, Mark Johnson said Tempo had secured highly-prized reserved seats for both packages and linked them with accommodation and other features, adding, “This move is a natural progression of services provided to our discerning independent traveller customers travelling to London and the UK”.

“As complete packages, they are easy for agents to sell and provide scope to build sought-after and memorable experiences for their clients.”

While Tempo Holidays offers one of the biggest selection of London hotels and apartments (and they say very keenly priced), this is the first time the Australian-owned travel company has packaged the Championships and English Premier League.

The 4 star Hilton Kensington is the hotel partner for The Championships while a variety of 3 star hotels are partners for the Premier League.

They are priced from $1051 per person twin share for the 2 days Wimbledon Experience Tour (based on Court 2, other packages include court 1 or centre court on chosen dates), from $3,988 for the 4 days Wimbledon Championships Tour package (seats for one day on Centre Court and one day on No. 1 Court), from $11,869 per person for the 4 days Wimbledon Semi Finals Tour package (Centre Court seat for July 5 Ladies’ Semi final and July 6 Men’s Semi final) and from $14, 999 for the 4 days Wimbledon Finals Tour package (Centre Court seats for July 7 Ladies’ Final and July 8 Men’s Final).

The Semi final and Finals packages also include membership to The Gatsby Club for 2 days with VIP hospitality (cocktail and canapés reception, á la carte lunch with fine wines, traditional Wimbledon afternoon tea and a complimentary bar including Champagne throughout the day). The other packages include admission to The Championship Club for ticket collection, complimentary tea, coffee and Danish pastries while the Wimbledon Championship Tours package offers buffet lunch on both days at The Championship Club.

The Premier League packages combine a ticket with 1 or 2 nights in 3 or 4 star hotels in the home city of the match, breakfast, and on some occasions, dinner and match day meals and beverages.

For example, a 2 nights Arsenal Home Package is priced from $882 per person twin share/from $1063 single.

The 2006/2007 season commenced in August 2006 and concludes in May 2007.  Rates for the 2007/2008 season are yet to be released.
