Tempo Holidays cooks up new products for Spain, Portugal and Morocco

Tempo Holidays is offering a greater appreciation of the sights and sounds of Barcelona with the introduction of eight new sightseeing tours, including Spanish cooking classes, in the 2007-08 brochure for Spain, Portugal, Morocco and Tunisia released this week.

Four Barcelona walking tours, a 2-hour sailing excursion and full-day Catalunya Bus Turistic are the other new local tour products, while the boutique Petit Palace Opera Garden Hotel heads Tempo Holidays’ six new Barcelona hotels.

Product Manager, Naomi Beder said while all Spain, Portugal and Morocco sold well, Barcelona featured in almost all bookings, adding, “This is a vibrant city and we have added some experiential-style product to meet the needs of our customers”.

The brochure features city and regional accommodation, local tours, self-drive options, coach tours, rail packages and car rental.

In Madrid, the 5 star Hotel Westin Palace is a new Gold option for Tempo Holidays’ signature 4-day Taste of Madrid package (from $993 per person twin share) while accommodation has also been added in the historic city of Valencia, host of the 2007 America’s Cup.

Within Spain’s national network of Parador inns, the brochure highlights the self-drive Cantabrian Route along the north coast, a charming unspoilt region.

A 9-day Flavours of Spain and Portugal tour (from $1364 per person twin share) is new as is a 3-day Taste of Lisbon package (from $250 per person twin share) which includes arrival transfer, hotel with breakfast and half day city tour. Deluxe private touring options feature wine tasting, gastronomy and traditional tile making.

The Tunisian Discovery tour is now offered as a small group tour instead of a coach tour and therefore is guaranteed to depart with a minimum two passengers. Only Tempo Holidays clients will be grouped together.

Private touring is the base for Tempo Holidays tours in Morocco and choice of Moroccan villas/ riads or 5 star hotels applies to both the 12-day Moroccan Treasures tour (from $5632) and 8-day Morocco in Style (from $4457).

A full page is dedicated to Marrakesh and this includes a new 4-day Taste of Marrakesh package (from $825) which features choice of hotels at Le Meridien N’Fis or Les Jardins de la Koutoubia plus return transfers, full day private city tour and 4-course dinner at a traditional restaurant.

As with Barcelona, Tempo Holidays Holidays also offers private cooking classes in Marrakesh at La Maison Arabe.
