Tempo Holidays unveils first Europe River Cruising brochure
Tempo Holidays has launched its first Europe river cruising brochure, with Product Manager, Eric Langen said that with river cruising demand in the Australian market experiencing tremendous growth over recent years and with Tempo being a specialist wholesaler for Europe, it was logical for Tempo to add river cruising, as a stand-alone product or as part of a Tempo extended Europe itinerary.
The brochure covers the March-November 2008 season and features five cruises, using the Rhine (Netherlands, Germany, France, and Switzerland), Danube (Germany, Austria, Hungary, and Slovakia), Elbe (Germany and Czech Republic) and Rhone and Saone (Southern France) rivers.
The 8-day Majestic Blue Danube cruise (Passau-Budapest-Passau), for example, also visits Durstein, Melk, Vienna, Bratislava and Esztergom and is priced from $1827 per person twin share on the MV Mozart.
Vessels in the Tempo program are luxury vessels, either 4 star or 5 star with restaurant, bar, sundeck and lounge. Most also offer a small gift shop, library and small fitness centre.
Mr Langen said key differences of Tempo cruises were silver service single seating dining instead of buffet dining and a crew-to-passenger ratio of 1:2.5 passengers where the average for most river cruises is 1:5.
“This style will fit well with our discerning independent traveller customer base,” he said.
All cruise packages include on board course-by-course silver service meals, on board entertainment and fuel levy.
