Tenerife Tourism Corporation becomes CLIA member
The Tenerife Tourism Corporation has become the newest associate partner of Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) UK & Ireland.
CLIA membership will help raise Tenerife’s brand awareness across the region, bringing them into CLIA’s wider community of cruise lines, travel agents and associate partners.
Tenerife is visited by a host of cruise lines every year, with the tourism corporation is seeking to highlight the host of attractions and activities visitors can experience during their shore visits.
Tenerife will now be represented at a number of CLIA’s travel trade events, as well as gaining brand exposure on the industry body’s website and inclusion in its yearbook.
Andy Harmer, CLIA UK & Ireland managing director, said: “We’re delighted to welcome the Tenerife Tourism Corporation to the CLIA family. The island is a firm favourite with cruisers and we’re all counting down to seeing ships visit again.”
The membership forms part of the island’s new marketing strategy.
It recently gained official Biosphere certification from the Responsible Tourism Institute (RTI), which recognises Tenerife as a sustainable international destination.
