Terror alert update: Easyjet cancels all London flights

Sunday, 10 Aug, 2006 0

EasyJet has cancelled all flights from London Gatwick, Luton and Stansted for the rest of the day.

It has advised passengers to not go to the airport if their flight has been cancelled, but to use its website to transfer flights to another day or to claim a refund.

For all other regional bases passengers should check its website before departing.

“If your flight is operating please be prepared for disruption, allow plenty of time for getting to the airport and present yourself at check in two hours prior to the scheduled time of departure,” it said in a statement.

“Passengers must also reconsider what baggage they are carrying today – with immediate effect NO hand-baggage will be allowed on aircraft.

“Only certain essential items will be allowed into the cabin – provided they are contained in transparent plastic bags, which will be issued at airports. All other items are required to be packed into hold baggage and checked-in on arrival at the airport.”
