Thai tourism boost outlined as new premier is selected
A major boost in tourism investment to attract more travellers to Thailand following damaging Bangkok airport sieges is being promised.
A tourism receovery plan has been outlined as opposition leader Abhisit Vejjajiva was slected as prime minister.
He is the 44-year-old Oxford educated head of the country’s Democrat Party.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand pledged major fam trips for agents and operators plus a range of media campaigns as part of a tourism receovery plan outlined to the industry in London.
Tourism chiefs hope the strategy will result in one million UK tourists visiting Thailand in 2009.
