Thailand lifts restrictions on nightlife
Thailand is allowing bars, pubs and karaoke clubs to restart regular operations. Entertainment venues can stay open serving alcohol until midnight from June 1.
Government spokesperson Taweesin Visanuyothin said bar staff must have booster shots and take antigen tests every week.
Thai nightlife is a major draw for tourists.
Thailand is expecting tourist arrivals to rise to over one million a month by October. Year-to-date through mid-May, Thailand welcomed 1.01 million arrivals.
