Thailand tour companies tout ‘vaxications’ to lure travellers
Thai inbound tour companies are floating the idea of ‘vaxications,’ offering month-long stays inclusive of Covid jabs. The Tourism Council of Thailand is promoting $5,000 packages which include two vaccine doses and the mandatory 14 day quarantine.
The proposal is still an idea in its early stages but would potentially benefit struggling inbound operators and hotels. Still, it is unlikely to attract the numbers Thailand tourism desperately needs until the mandatory quarantine is scrapped. Thailand is set to start a vaccination rollout next month.
