The Great Lakes USA region has launched its new Guide with an exciting competition for agents. The first ten travel agents who go onto the Great Lakes USA Facebook page, like the page and send a message to the Great Lakes, will receive a fantastic cook book from the region, packed with authentic, local recipes to recreate at home.
World class destinations are not just about location, quality hotels and leisure opportunities; modern travellers demand high quality food and drink, at reasonable prices. The Great Lakes USA region is a truly world class holiday destination; it is also home to some of the finest cuisine in the world. The range of food on offer is breath-taking and will delight everyone, regardless of tight budgets or bulging wallets.
The new travel guide showcases what’s on offer around the region; focusing on traditional locally sourced produce that can be found in each of the states. The menu is mouth-watering, as a flavour of the international influences look no further than the Minneapolis St Paul area where the combination of immigrant food culture, with award winning chefs, make the local offering anything but basic.
Indiana’s Joseph Decuis experience is fine dining at its best; voted Indiana’s No 1 Restaurant by Open Table diners, it is excellence with small-town American charm thrown in.
As you drive through the region stopping in Cleveland, Ohio they have their own spicy style, with the Bertman’s Ballpark Mustard introduced by James Beard Award Winning Chef Michael Symon, a local product using European spices, creating a unique BBQ sauce and you can try this in his Mabel’s BBQ restaurant and even buy some to take home.
And that’s just for starters the travel guide takes you through the treasure trove of the entire Great Lakes region where there is something for every gastronome and food fanatic alike. Check out the guide on www.greatlakesusa.co.uk.
