The lowest hotel rates in town…………..

Sabre Pacific today announced two exclusive programs to ensure that travel agents obtain the lowest publicly available hotel rates and the best deals for clients.

In an industry first, the new Sabre® Rate Assured ™ hotel certification program ensures Sabre Connected agents receive the lowest publicly available hotel rates within the Sabre GDS that can be found on other travel distribution channels, including websites.

Sabre Pacific, the leading provider of business and technology solutions for travel professionals, also announced the local launch of Hotel UpSell, a merchandising tool to enable agents to better serve clients while earning more commission.

“These two features give agents the confidence that they are offering their clients the best rates and specials. With Rate Assured, they don’t have to waste time double-checking hotel rates on the Internet,” Richard Thame, head of sales and marketing at Sabre Pacific said.

“No other GDS is taking such action to measure rate parity and enforce it on behalf of its travel agents.

“With Hotel UpSell, consultants can earn incremental commissions while increasing their expertise by offering value-added services to clients,” he said.

“Hotel UpSell is already operating successfully in the US and a recent study showed that consultants can increase their commission revenue on those transactions by more than 12 per cent,” Thame added.

“These new programs are excellent examples of our commitment to put the agent back into travel. Sabre Connected agents can now be assured of continuing to efficiently serve their clients’ needs with confidence, through a single booking source that is already integrated into their workflow,” he said

The Rate Assured hotel program is the first to extensively check rates at the property level to confirm individual hotel properties are providing Sabre with the lowest publicly available rates. Properties that provide rate parity are designated “Rate Assured” on the hotel availability display and receive enhanced visibility.

With Hotel UpSell, when a consultant books a room they are prompted if a special deal is available for that property. They can instantly book the deal—such as upgraded rooms, breakfast, or parking—and earn extra commissions.

“Sabre sells more hotel room nights than any other company in the world. Our aim is to ensure that this continues and to that end we provide winning solutions for agents, for travellers and for hotel partners,” Thame said.

Both programs are free to Sabre Connected agents.
