The New York Trapeze School swings by Santa Monica Pier
Already boasting colourful characters, rides, games and fun, the buzz at Santa Monica Pier just got louder with the new Trapeze School New York (TSNY) opening for business in May 2008.
The Santa Monica Pier which is celebrating its Centennial birthday this year is the Trapeze School New York’s fifth location. They have other schools in New York City, Boston and Baltimore. The open-air school is nestled between Pacific Park and the Playland Arcade, offering great visibility for passers by to watch the trapeze in action.
If spectators are so inclined to get in on the action, classed are offered for everyone from beginners to advanced flyers. There are multiple-class discounts, group classes, workshops, special events and even birthday party packages.
People not sure of their level are recommended to attend a mixed class first for evaluation by an instructor. No prior experience is necessary however, and first-time students will learn the knee-hang and may even be able to try a catch. All students will have the opportunity to advance their skills.
The Trapeze School of New York offers the opportunity for everyone from the thrill-seeker to fear-facer, athlete to couch potato, casual flyer to serious aerialist.
