As the spring temperatures rise in Florida, a day on the Space Coast is not be complete without a cool ice cream to stay cool.

It has produced a map including every place visitors can find a frozen treat in the region, including local ice cream shops, chains, and restaurants.

Visitors can choose from spots such as Del’s Freez in Melbourne, a Space Coast institution, that has been serving up creamy, cool soft ice cream along Highway 1 since 1956.

Travelling north, visitors in Indian Harbour Beach or Cocoa Beach can head for The Fat Donkey and its unique creations like Churro, Waffle, Brownie or Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches with fresh-made ice creams and baked goods.

The Florida Key Lime Pie Company located just north of Ron Jon Surf Shop on Cocoa Beach scoops up unique Florida flavors like Key Lime Pie and Pineapple and Coconut Pool Party.

Travelers can sample hand-churned ice cream at the Mad Utter in Titusville, for a fresh and creamy treat before or after visiting the nearby Kennedy Space Center Visitor ComplexMerritt Island National Wildlife Refuge or the Canaveral National Seashore.

There are restaurants on the Space Coast that not only serve up an unforgettable meal but also top-rated ice cream for dessert.

The Ossorio Cafe and Bakery in Historic Cocoa Village offers a rotating list of homemade ice creams to go along with a fresh-made croissant or flatbread pizza, while the 4th Street Fillin’ Station in Cocoa Beach is known for bulgogi tacos followed by a Monster Sundae or Monster Shake made with house-made ice cream.

Furthermore, several of the local and chain ice creameries offer dairy-free alternatives on their menus.

Visitors can grab a refreshing, fruity popsicle at River Road Coffee and Popsicles in Cocoa Village or enjoy a taste of the Islands at Oasis Shaved Ice in Cocoa Beach.
