The Supremes tribute band to sing at Web Awards
TravelMole is promising guests attending its annual Web Awards a night to remember by flying The Supremes all the way from Detroit to entertain them at London’s legendary Windmill Club.
The ninth annual awards on September 26 will kick off with a drinks reception for sponsors and their guests in the sky lounge at the Doubletree by Hilton London – Tower of London, to be followed by the awards ceremony at 16.15hrs.
There will be 14 award categories this year and the shortlist, published on TravelMole yesterday, is being judged by an independent team of six individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds within the travel industry.
Following the presentation, guests will be transported on iconic London buses, courtesy of A2B Transfers, to the Windmill Club, adjacent to Piccadilly, which is famous for remaining open during the Blitz in WWII.
The highlight of the evening of Motown magic will be a live performance of The Sounds of The Supremes tribute act, courtesy of Detroit Metro CVB. The band, founded in the 80s by American Kaaren Ragland after she toured with original Supremes member Mary Wilson, will perform all-time favourites such as In the Name of Love.
There will also be a DJ, sponsored by Lowcosttravel Group.
