The Top End’s leading luxury 4WD tour operator for sale
The Administrator of Port Macquarie based Australian Wilderness Tours has announced that Odyssey Tours and Safaris, the Top End’s leading operator of luxury 4WD tours is on the market, after parent company Australia Wilderness Tours was placed into Administration earlier this year by the Directors of the company.
Morgan Chubb of Coffs Harbour based Clout and Associates who were appointed Administrators of Australian Wilderness Tours told The Mole, “AWT was placed into Administration by the Directors for a number of reasons and we have been commissioned by them to dispose of the assets of the businesses,” adding, “I stress that Odyssey Tours and Safaris is operating normally and it is very much business as usual.”
He also said, “The Australian Wilderness Tours section of the business is in the final stages of sale, which leaves me to sell Odyssey Tours and Safaris, which until early in 2006 was owned by Voyages Hotels and Resorts, but it was outside their core business.”

“In addition, they can also purchase the excellent Odyssey camps in the Top End, including at Minjungari in Litchfield and camps at Gunlom and Mardugal in Kakadu, all of which are very well equipped with purpose-built “Safari Tents”, locally designed for the tropical climate, with canvas walls, insect screens and raised wooden floors, specifically designed to keep cool and comfortable.
Parties interested in receiving more information and potentially purchasing Odyssey Tours and Safaris should contact Morgan Chub at [email protected] or on 02 6652 3288.
