The Travel Corporation introduces new Well-being Director role
The Travel Corporation has unveiled its new dedicated Well-being Director role for guided tours starting in 2021.
It presented the new position to travel partners in an introductory video.
Well-being Directors (WD) are exclusive to Trafalgar, Insight Vacations and Luxury Gold guided tours.
The video showcases the role of the Well-being Director and the extra support they can provide on trips, and it shows how the WD can help boost confidence in safe travel, leading to more bookings.
"During this recovery period, we want to fully support our loyal travel advisors to assist their clients in booking with confidence as they rebuild their businesses, knowing that our guests’ well-being is of paramount importance," said Brett Tollman, CEO of The Travel Corporation.
The role of the WD is threefold, with 24/7 assistance and personal support, offering supplier partner engagement and compliance, and daily monitoring of distancing and hygiene standards.
The three brands are compliant with all health and sanitation guidelines set out in the TOURCARE Guidelines for Tour Operators, which was developed by the European Tourism Association (ETOA), the United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA) and the Canadian Association of Tour Operators (CATO).
The WD accompanies clients throughout their entire trip to make sure all hygiene and distancing measures are implemented daily.
