Thomas Cook Group’s deputy chief executive Sam Weihagen is to go part time, giving up his role as chief executive of Northern Europe.
He will become chairman for North Europe and work two and a half days a week and will retire at the end of next year.
Until then, Weihagen will continue in his role as deputy to the group chief executive and as a member of the plc board and group executive board.
Meanwhile Northern Europe current chief operating officer Lars Lofgren will step into Weihagen’s shoes from January 1.
