Thomas Cook kicks off ‘Match Breaks’

Saturday, 11 Oct, 2006 0

Packages to home league matches of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, West Ham United and Celtic have been launched by Thomas Cook Sport.

Prices start at £81 per person, based on two sharing, and offer a range of three packages for matches for the rest of the season along with accommodation in hotels throughout the UK.

The breaks include match tickets, overnight accommodation, programme and stadium tour.

Thomas Cook Sport director Danny Talbot said: “We have launched this initiative on the back of our work with some of the UK’s leading football clubs.

“Getting hold of tickets to watch your team play home or away is never easy, but we hope that our ‘Match Breaks’ will give everyone the chance to see their heroes on the pitch.

“This programme sees our sports experience working alongside our travel background and we’re sure that this will prove to be a really popular part of what we offer.  We will be looking to extend these weekend breaks in the future and already we’re looking at European fixture lists as well as other sports.“
