Thomas Cook launches multi-million pound ad campaign

Thomas Cook has launched its new TV ad campaign featuring a tongue-in-cheek journey home from holiday and its famous strap line, "Don’t just book it, Thomas Cook it".

The beleaguered operator, which kicked off its campaign on Christmas Day, is offering 10% off millions of holidays as well as its ‘Kids for a Quid’ promotion.

The £5 million plus advertising campaign will also highlight the new price parity scheme which will see the end of online discounts.

Holidays will cost the same online or in Thomas Cook travel agencies, see previous story.

Mike Hoban, marketing, sales and ecommerce director at Thomas Cook, said: "The Peak campaign and trading period is a massively important part of our calendar – this year will see our biggest marketing campaign for many a year.

"We’ll be clear about what makes us different and why our customers should choose us over other companies."
