Thomas Cook makes Down Under debut
A programme of package holidays to Australia has been unveiled by Thomas Cook in a 196-page brochure.
The group’s first dedicated programme to the region, includes New Zealand, Fiji, the Cook Islands and Tahiti.
The Thomas Cook Australia, New Zealand & the South Pacific brochure includes three Discover Downunder itineraries: Sydney & Southern Queensland over 15 nights; Sydney, Cairns & Brisbane over 18 nights; and Melbourne, Sydney & Cairns over 19 nights.
Aimed at first time visitors to Australia, they provide a manageable tour of Australia’s famous sights and experiences with prices starting at £1,399.
Product director Robbie Orr said: “People are generally very happy to travel long-haul these days, and seeing the world is a top priority for hundreds of thousands of Britons.
“Australia is one of the most desirable destinations on the planet, and our aim was to make a holiday there simple, affordable and unforgettable.
“A great deal of work has gone into providing the most comprehensive brochure to suit a wide range of customers, whether they want a luxury stay in Sydney, a tour of Australia’s best known attractions, or to explore the country by motorhome.”
Hotels in the brochure give prices per person per night, enabling customers to plan their own itineraries.
New Zealand is covered by escorted tours, plus holidays in Auckland, Bay of Islands, Rotorua, Taupo and Wellington in the North Island, and Blenheim/Franz Josef, Christchurch, Queenstown and Dunedin in the South Island.
