Thomas Cook opens latest Concept Store
Thomas Cook has opened its sixth Concept Store at Bluewater Shopping Centre in Kent.
Its first concept store opened in Leeds in December 2012 and was followed by store openings in Stockton-on-Tees , Edinburgh, Bristol and Lakeside Shopping Centre in Essex throughout 2013.
"Retail is such an important part of Thomas Cook’s omni-channel approach, and the opening of our new Concept Store in Bluewater is a great example of our ongoing commitment to the high street," said Joanna Wild, managing director of the Thomas Cook and The Co-operative retail network.
Features include an ‘Advice Bar App’, which has been developed exclusively for Thomas Cook by Microsoft partner Infusion. The App, which will only be available to use in the store, includes features that will enable visitors to research their holiday by price, departure time or gateway.
There is also a separate area for group bookings with a large touch-screen and internet access.
The Bluewater store will also include a dedicated Disney-themed kids’ area.
