Thomas Cook returns to airport foreign exchange
Thomas Cook has opened foreign exchange desks at Manchester Airport and plans to open more at other UK airports in the coming months.
Since selling of its financial arm to Travelex five years ago, the travel company has been prevented from having foreign exchange desks in airports.
At Manchester, Thomas Cook has opened three desks, creating up to 20 jobs, and will open another five shortly.
It is also targeting contracts with other airports, hoping to make its brand present at every stage of the customer’s journey.
Melanie Whitehouse, director of Foreign Exchange at Thomas Cook, said: “UK airports serve millions of passengers per year.
“We are very excited to once again be able to offer our foreign exchange services to airport customers as part of their overall holiday experience.”
