Thomas Cook staff find out redundancy terms
Thomas Cook staff who face losing their jobs are being told their redundancy terms this week.
As the consultation period reaches week eight, employees who are being impacted by the job cuts are being invited to learn what they would be entitled to should they be forced to take redundancy.
A spokeswoman for Thomas Cook said this was part of the 90-day consultation process and was "in response from employees who want sight of the sort of package they could receive if there are either no suitable alternatives or if they are looking to leave as part of this process".
In this latest round of cuts, another 2,500 jobs are to go across Thomas Cook’s UK retail and back-office network.
It is closing another 195 more high street shops, plus its Accrington head office, on top of the 149 which have already been axed.
