Thomas Cook is to sell packages to Manchester United matches to its fan base in China.

Packages will be sold through Thomas Cook China, a joint venture between the tour operator and Fosun, a Chinese investment conglomerate that is one of Cook’s shareholders.

Fans in China will be able to buy official match break packages for every home game at Old Trafford as well as selected away matches, including in the European and domestic leagues.

Manchester United Group MD Richard Arnold said: "Our partnership with Thomas Cook is a long-standing one and we’re delighted it’s been extended to China, where we have more United fans than anywhere else in the world. It’s great for us that the packages on offer will give fans the opportunity to enjoy an official visit to Old Trafford."

General Manager of Thomas Cook China Alessandro Dassi added: "With a fan base of over 100 million Manchester United’s popularity in China has no equal. Thomas Cook has been a partner to the club in the UK and Europe for over a decade and we are delighted to extend this exclusive partnership into China."
