Thomson boosts accommodation only

Sunday, 06 Apr, 2005 0

Thomson claims to have doubled the size of its bed bank in six months.

The expansion of the accommodation-only service includes the addition of more than 1,000 villas with pools since Christmas.

It now offers 10,000 accommodation options in more than 150 resorts and cities worldwide with prices ranging from £10 to £120 a night.

Rustic farmhouses, villas with chefs, resort hotels, city centre properties and a spa hotel are now available.

TUI UK sales and marketing director Miles Morgan said: “We want Thomson to appeal to a wider market than it has done in the past. To do this it’s important that we offer some of the more rustic and traditional style properties.

“The bed bank is one of the fastest growing areas of our business. We are adding to it all the time and because we are now working more closely with our specialist businesses it means we are able to offer a massive variety of properties. We asre also contrcating accommodation specifically for the bed bank.”
