Thomson Cruises to offer new Arctic voyages
Thomson Cruises will launch new voyages to the Arctic Circle, the Fjords and Russia in summer 2014.
It will offer 15 new ports of call from its new base in Liverpool and existing ports Harwich and Newcastle.
From May 2014, Thomson Spirit will sail from all three ports. It will visit Spitsbergen in the Arctic Circle – the furthest north a Thomson Cruise has ever sailed.
The 15-night Arctic Affair also stops at Ny Alesun, Longyearbyen and also takes in other ports in the Norwegian Fjords including Geiranger, Alesund, and Flam.
Customers are being offered an early booking incentive of free parking or coach transfer and £100 onboard spending money.
The cruise line also has Bank Holiday tasters from Newcastle and Liverpool to Amsterdam on board the Thomson Spirit.
Also new for next summer are five adult-only cruises in the Mediterranean and Baltic Sea.
Managing director Fraser Ellacott said: "We are very excited about our summer 2014 UK programme as there really is an itinerary for everyone. We know that the destinations are key to customers, which is why we have introduced cruises to the Arctic Circle as well as keeping traditional cruising ports such as St Petersburg and Bergen in the programme.
"We are also delighted to be able to offer cruises from a third UK port, Liverpool, and hope that by getting the right mix, we will not only encourage our loyal customers to keep booking with us, but will also entice the younger generation and those who are new to cruise to try us out!"
The full summer 2014 summer programme will launch on the April 25, with Thomson Cruises ex-UK voyages going on sale on the April 11.
