Thomson to offer Nectar points
Nectar points are to be offered to customers booking Thomson holidays.
For every pound spent purchasing a holiday, customers will receive two Nectar points that can be saved and exchanged for Nectar rewards.
Points can be collected when purchasing Thomson holidays at one of its 750 stores nationwide.
The deal raises the number of Nectar participating stores in the UK to more than 7,000 and the number of participating sponsors to 17.
Nectar is operated by Loyalty Management UK, a part of Loyalty Management Group.
Managing director Brian Sinclair said: “Thomson has been a redemption partner since launch and they have seen close up how sponsors benefit from being a part of the Nectar programme. We are proud that the UK household name in holidays has joined us, and we expect our collectors to take full advantage of the opportunity to collect thousands more points on great holidays.”
The company claims that more than half of all UK households have a Nectar card, which they use to collect points on shopping from 17 companies issuing points nationwide including Debenhams, BP and Sainsbury.
Thomson sales and marketing director Miles Morgan said: “The Nectar programme will add to Thomson’s reputation as the most trusted travel brand on the high street. It gives us a compelling point of difference, and the ability to use points tactically to acquire new customers whilst also rewarding existing ones.”
