Thomson updates Florida customers on flight arrangements
Thomson brought forward one Florida flight to get its customers home at the weekend before Hurricane Irma hit the region, but delayed another until Tuesday.
A flight from Sanford to Bristol was arranged to leave on Saturday, just hours before the closure of Orlando Sanford International Airport at 5:15pm, local time.
But a Glasgow flight, scheduled for today (Monday), has been rescheduled for tomorrow, after the hurricane has passed.
Thomson said: "We would also like to reassure customers that we are making all necessary contingency plans to ensure the safety of everyone in the areas likely to be affected, working with and listening to the advice and instructions of the relevant authorities."
Sunday’s Flight TOM375 from Sanford to Bristol flew 24 hours early, departing at 15:00 local time.
But customers on Flight TOM743 from Sanford to Glasgow, due to depart today, will have to wait until Tuesday for a flight departing 14:40 local time.
Flight TOM374 from Bristol to Sanford, which was due to depart on Sunday, is delayed by 48 hours and is planned to operate on Tuesday September 12, departing 09:00 local time.
Flight TOM742 from Glasgow to Sanford, due to depart on Monday September 11, is delayed by 24 hours and is also planned to operate on Tuesday September 12, departing 09:00 local time.
Customers due to travel on these flights to Sanford have the opportunity to cancel or amend free of charge and can call Thomson’s customer service team on 0800 009 3836 or 0203 636 1997 or contact their travel agent.
Flights to Sanford on Tuesday September 12 and Wednesday September 13 are due to operate as normal.
