Thousands injured and more than 150 killed in China earthquake
At least 188 people are believed to have died and thousands have been injured after an earthquake in the Sichuan Province of China at the weekend.
The region was hit by around 1,300 aftershocks since the 6.6 magnitude quake hit, and state media says 11,500 were injured, 960 of them seriously.
The situation remains desperate, as rescuers battle to reach remote villages razed by the earthquake.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office said no British Nationals are thought to be involved.
It added that there is disruption to rail and road routes in the surrounding areas and Chengdu airport is open, but subject to delays, diversions and cancellations.
