Tiger brings forward daily plans for Singapore – Perth service.
Tiger Airways CEO Tony Davies has announced plans to go daily from Perth to Singapore from May rather than November after an overwhelming response to its four times weekly services commencing in March and to its announcement to start domestic services, although the launch routes have not been announced.
He added, that he also has to increase the duration of a visit this week to deal with the amazing demand from a range or airports and State and Territory Governments wanting offer the Tiger a home, confirming that he is talking with all of the major airports in Australia and a number of smaller regional airports.
He also said that he and his team had Tiger has been very surprised by the interest shown in Australia, with not only a massive response from airports and States, but also that they are inundated with job applications, and their online voting facility asking the public for potential Australian destinations generating 35,000 votes in the first 14 days.
Mr Davies said that the next step was deciding the routes and securing all the required approvals for its initial five Airbus 320 Aussie fleet.
