TIME to showcase ‘Beyond Bali’ factor

Friday, 01 May, 2006 0
Emphasising the massive potential Indonesian tourism offers beyond Bali, the city of Makassar in South Sulawesi has for the first time been chosen to host the country’s biggest travel showcase, Tourism Indonesia Mart & EXPO (TIME).

Organisers are confident the 2006 event, to be held in the city’s Clarion Hotel & Convention from 18-21 September, will see the event’s biggest ever turn out.

More than 120 international buyers predominantly from Australia, New Zealand, Europe and North America are expected to attend.

The organisers are also reporting strong interest from buyers in several new market sources including China, India and Russia.

More than 100 Indonesia sellers, representing national and regional tourism bodies, airlines, tour operators and hoteliers have already confirmed their attendance.
